Meet your therapist!

Hi there! My name is Verda, and I’m excited to be your child’s speech therapist!
I am a licensed, ASHA-certified speech-language pathologist with four years of professional experience working with toddlers through school-aged children. My background includes supporting children with speech sound disorders, language delays, and fluency disorders.

I’m especially passionate about gestalt language processing (GLP) and am currently working toward certification as a GLP provider. I also enjoy supporting children who use AAC (augmentative and alternative communication). The name Expression Beyond Words comes from my love of embracing all forms of communication and helping children use their unique strengths to build toward new modes of expression.

My therapy style is play-based and child-centered—I believe children learn best when therapy is fun, engaging, and connected to their interests. Building trust and rapport is at the heart of my work, because communication isn’t just taught—it’s experienced.

When I’m not in sessions, you’ll find me chasing around my very active (and very social!) golden retriever, who keeps me on my toes.
