Speech & Language Screenings

We provide screenings for early detection of speech and language needs. Research shows that identifying and addressing communication difficulties early promotes stronger outcomes and supports timely skill development.

Speech & Language Evaluations

Our evaluations may include standardized (norm-referenced) testing, dynamic assessments, and informal measures tailored to your child’s attention, participation, and developmental level. A thorough evaluation helps us identify your child’s strengths and areas for growth, allowing us to design an individualized treatment plan.

Evaluations typically last about one hour. If additional time is needed, a second session may be scheduled. Please note: additional sessions will be billed at the regular session rate.
Each evaluation includes a written report with scores, identified goals, and a plan of care.
A consultation with parents is provided to review results, discuss goals, and incorporate family input in the therapy plan.
Norm-referenced testing also supports families in seeking insurance coverage when applicable.

We offer individualized therapy sessions in 30-minute, 45-minute, and 60-minute formats. Session length and frequency are recommended based on evaluation results and family preferences. Frequency is a key factor in therapy progress — after all, practice makes progress!

As a mobile practice, Expression Beyond Words PLLC provides therapy in homes, schools, and daycares.

Collaboration with ABA providers, teachers, and other professionals involved in your child’s care is strongly encouraged to maximize success.

Yes, we currently accept Blue Cross Blue Shield of Texas (BCBSTX) and private pay. For families with other insurance providers, we can provide superbills (detailed receipts with CPT codes) that you may submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement, depending on your plan.
